Ava's Gift

About a week ago Ava got a letter in the mail from Grandad saying that he is so proud of her and that he bought her a gift that would be coming in the mail shortly. She has been waiting for it every day and yesterday the mystery gift arrived... a Kindle!!! I have to say she is the first in our house to have such a tech savvy reader! Grandad knows the importance of reading and wanted to give her something to encourage that. It is a wonderful surprise and Ava is over the moon! She downloaded a Junie B Jones book and we got an e-book from the library that is a Barbie story. Today, via email, Mimi sent Ava two e-books that she had purchased for her: The Little Red Hen and Mr. Popper's Penguins. Technology sure is great! Thank you again!
