I flew to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to bring home a South Florida Urban Search and Rescue Team. They had been in Haiti for the past two weeks. They were so glad to be home. They told us they found 164 people alive!! (Jokingly they also said the Russians found only 9.) As we landed in Miami, the airport fire department had ALL their emergency vehicles, with lights flashing, waiting for their buddies. They even sprayed the airplane with water cannons as we pulled up to the gate. Their families friends were waiting on them in the airport with balloons and signs. God bless this great group of guys!.
