My First "Real" Thanksgiving Meal

In order for us to coordinate with Mitch's work schedule we decided to celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday night. It was a cooking extravaganza! Thanks to Karmen, everything turned out great and it was such a wonderful meal to share with my family! I cooked a Chicken, dressing, giblet gravy, sassy green beans, mashed potatoes, carrot casserole and sister schubert's rolls. Halfway through the meal Mitch leaned over and said: "Just in case you were wondering... this was worth the effort!". Nothing blesses me more than making my sweet husband know that I love him and our family! I am so thankful for them!
We invited Pauletta to come and celebrate with us for the weekend and she brought a yummy dessert to help me out. Pauletta also brought a hand made nativity set that Mitch's aunt Renee made for the kids. They love it! It is just the right size and the kids have been playing with it so much. Our weekend was complete with a trip to Kohl's where the kids got to choose a new toy from Gigi. Ava chose a frog shirt and a princess barbie and Harrison chose a CARS shirt and a hotwheels set. It was a great weekend!
