I got a call from the school nurse explaining that Ava fell on the asphalt at school and had lots of bandages to prove it. The nurse told me a list of items to get to care for Ava at home, so I immediately went to Walgreens and loaded up my basket. Ava was tough but there were days of tears with bandage changes. What really brightened her mood was the adorable bouquet that she received from our sweet friends the Johnsons. Ava proudly displayed it on her bedside table. I am so thankful for nurse Ruthie who cares so lovingly for my girl and also for sweet friends who cheer us up when we need it the most!
