Today we took Ava in for her 3 year old checkup and Harrison had his 15 month checkup as well. I had planned on taking the kids in by myself but as it turned out Mitch was in town and thank goodness he was! Ava was not really "into" having a checkup today and proceeded to tell everyone so. (even though for days she has been looking forward to going... must be a 3 year old thing!) Of course Mitch and I made her go along with everything and we got a great report. Ava is now 37 pounds and 40 1/2 inches. That puts her weight at 93% on the curve and her height was literally off the charts!! I just think she has had all her growth spurts at once.
Harrison has made some huge strides lately. He is now pulling up A LOT and is cruising around on the furniture. Today while we were at lunch Harrison started signing for the word "please". You take your right hand, place it on your chest and move it in a clockwise motion. He totally gets it!! It brought tears to my eyes. At dinner tonight he stunned us again when he kept asking "please" for more food... that boy does love to eat! :)
He was a trooper at the appointment today. He enjoyed the checkup. He is 24 pounds and 6 ounces and 31 inches tall. That puts him at 50% for both weight and height. He received 3 shots today but only cried for about 20 seconds.
Another big milestone and we were thankful for the good reports!
